DiscNS Juniors is a volunteer subcommittee of DiscNS that promotes disc sport opportunities for youth under the age of 19 in Nova Scotia. Currently, the committee focuses their resources on Ultimate programming for players eligible to compete in the Junior division of Ultimate Canada.
DiscNS High School Ultimate Program (Grades 9-12)
The DiscNS High School Ultimate Program facilitates high school competition across the province each spring. Teams begin practicing in March to compete in indoor tournaments on court or turf.
HRM Junior High Outreach Coordinator (Est. Spring 2025)
Contracted from October to June, the Junior High Outreach Coordinator contacts physical education staff at junior high schools in Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) and travels to provide class demonstrations/instruction on how to play ultimate.
New Scotland Blues (Ages 14-18)
The New Scotland Blues is a competitive ultimate club for athletes that compete in the Junior division of the Canadian Ultimate Championship (CUC). To be eligible for the team rosters, athletes must be ages 14-18 by December 31 for that year's CUC. Opportunities are available for both Women-Matching and Open-Matching (Men-Matching) players.
